by on April 1st, 2010

It looks like more and more iPad excitement is heading our way. First, there was news that April 24th will be the Canadian launch date for the iPad. You probably saw the EPIC episode of Modern Family that was centred around the iPad and all the initial iPad reviews that are now live on the web.

AppAdvice has taken the time to film the video below which showcases 700 iPad apps that are ready to rock and roll once the iPad launches on Saturday, April 3rd. Take a look and tell us what apps you are most looking forward to trying out on your iPad!

For Canadians who are going to pick up and iPad this weekend. To alleviate your fears that iPad apps might not start showing up until the official Canadian release; I did some manual searches and iPad apps are now available in the Canadian iTunes store. I checked on Fieldrunners for iPad and Brushes for iPad. Both there, and lots more.

Don't see the iBooks app yet though.

The word “Free” is noticeably infrequent in the app store compared to the iPhone.

I think this will change once the iPad units can be actually tested on by
devs. In the meantime, the apps that are in the app store first are the ones
trying to get in on the 'gold rush' early.

picked up an ipad in buffalo this morning. Warning: app store for the ipad isn't available in canada as of this moment.

It is possible to use some of the ipod apps from an ipod touch or iphone on the iPad, but I've had some fail entirely.
