This morning, PC magazine published an article listing 5 free applications that can help you turn your iPad into an iPhone.
The 5 applications are:
- Skype 2.0
Not all the applications should be required since some of those apps overlap in their functionnalities so I chose to try Skype and textPlus (it had the better rating from PC Mag) and it works! It is interesting to be able to send text messages directly from the iPad and make voice calls. The format is obviously a bit large to “hold up to your ear” (that, or you will definitely get looks from people that will wonder what you are doing ) but hey it works!
Oh and you may warn the party you are calling that there is no video (which I had to do with my dad) because if they are used to seeing you in skype when you call from another computer they will wonder what is going on.
