More details from their iTunes description:

Since the iPad has a built in mic, making calls to Canada and the USA for free is huge. Plug in Apple headphones and your iPad could be making free calls from anywhere at anytime. The only downside is there’s no caller ID (your number shows up as unknown), but if your recipient knows your calling there’s no issue at all.

I tested out some calls over WiFi and call quality was good to very good. It really depends on your connection, and if you’re using your 3G data plan be aware that lengthy VoIP calls can eat up your data bucket.

Let me know how this app works with your iPad!

It works fine on the iPad, but I would recommend using a headset, otherwise people on the other end can hear an echo of their own voice coming through the iPad speaker.

Quality is dependant on your wifi or 3G signal strength.

I’m from Canada and I tried it several times.

Works well. Good sound. No complaints from people receiving the call.

The only down side is that after 15 minutes you get disconnected. When you hang up and connect again, you’re good for another 15 minutes.

    Works great otherwise.

Agree that the best way to use it, iPhone or iPad is with a headset or earphones and mic.

How do you know if you will be charged for roaming and operator data?

I tried it twice, and both times sound was perfect at MY end, but people I called got their voice repeated in their ears. Not good
