A group calling themselves iPhoneIslam have demonstrated via video a new jailbreak that enables phone calls, SMS and FaceTime via an active SIM card in an iPad 3G.

The iPad hack will reportedly be called “PhoneItiPad” and should be available in Cydia soon. Because you need a jailbroken iPad, the new hack only supports iPad 1.

New Report Says Samsung AMOLED Unlikely For iPad 3

This week, a report indicated that Apple COO Tim Cook traveled overseas to see Samsung’s latest AMOLED technology. The trip was reportedly used to assess the idea of using Samsung AMOLED displays in a future iPad.
