iPad Jailbreak Compatibility List

by on May 7th, 2010

For those people who have jailbroken their iPads using the latest Spirit jailbreak, you can now help contribute to the cause. iPhone Dev Team member, MuscleNerd recently tweeted a link to an iPad Jailbreak Compatibility List. This list will help the entire community determine what apps and tweaks work and which ones are unstable.

It’s still the early stages of the iPad jailbreaking game since the iPad has only been available in the US. However, that hasn’t stopped Canadians from driving across the border to pick up their own! Either way, once International availability is here (mark down May 10th on your calendar for Canadian pre-orders) we can expect faster updates and more iPad specific apps.

Until then, my iPad remains in its factory state from Apple. As much as I’d like to jailbreak my iPad just for fun, I don’t see any real benefits right now. However, I know my itchy trigger-happy jailbreaking fingers won’t be able to wait forever. ;)

I jailbroke my WiFi Ipad couple of days ago because I just couldn't stand not having Backgrounder and Kirikae. While i am happy that i have Backgrounder now and it works, Kirikae crashes the springboard each time i try to access process control with double tap of the Home button. I haven't tried assigning it to other other actions yet.

Anyone knows how to get the download installous apps to copy/transfer to your local PC. The old installous used to have a toggle to do so in the setting. Now it's gone in the latest version. I do have appsync for OS 3.2 installed from cydia.

As well, where are the installous apps located now in iPad directory?

    Thanks.
