We are six days away from Apple’s iPad 3 media event and that means leading up to the announcement we will see numerous ‘leaks’. Today’s images come from Fix-iPhones, as they supposedly have landed their hands on the iPad 3 digitizer and front glass in both black and white.
From the pictures below, it reveals no major redesign of the iPad 3, and essentially the same look as the iPad 2:
With the back housing in hand, and now with this piece, we can confirm your iPad will look a lot like the iPad 2, just that 1mm thicker. The picture above also proves that we will have the home button on the iPad 3, contrary to some reports that came out yesterday. We also can see that Apple is planning to have both black and white models of the iPad 3, which is not surprising.
One would expect the next iPad to be available in black and white, just like other iOS devices. As for the Home button that was ‘missing’ in the picture of the media invite, many have noted the image was just the iPad in landscape mode, with six icons along the bottom. I don’t think the home button is going anywhere soon.
