Back in February, The Daily apparently got their hands on a pre-release version of official Microsoft Office app for iPad, publishing a screenshot which confirmed the app’s existence. Rumors of Microsoft’s Office Suite for iPad once again came to life when BGR reported through its reliable sources just over a week ago, that a full suite including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, will be coming to iOS and iPad this November. Now, a new publication by The Daily seems to confirm the exact launch date of Microsoft Office for iPad to be November 10th.
According to the source:
“Microsoft will launch Office for iPad on Nov. 10, The Daily has learned. This follows reports earlier this month that a late fall release was likely.
We’ve learned that the development team within Office Mobile finished its work on the project last month, and the efforts of the design group wrapped soon after. The app is now in the hands of a usability team that appraises software that utilizes the Metro design language for “Metro compliance” and suggests changes as needed. When approved by the team, the app likely will go to Apple for app store approval, which could take a couple of weeks.”
Rumors further suggest that an Android version is also in the works and it will likely have the same November release date as the iOS version.
