We are pretty much certain by now that discussions of building a 7-inch iPad have been actively taking place among Apple’s key executives, thanks to Eddie Cue’s email revealed through court documents today. However, those wondering how the smaller iPad might actually look like, would find these newly leaked photos of an alleged 7″ iPad quite interesting (via Engadget). Apple.pro has published photos of rear shells for the upcoming iPad mini which is rumored to launch alongside the new iPhone at a special Apple event on September 12th. The most interesting thing about these rear shells is the lack of a camera hole. Take a look!
Here’s what the source thinks:
These images — claiming to be legit iPad parts — popped up on Chinese social media site Sina Weibo. There’s little other activity on the account to back up the source, and the omission of a camera hole might irk some, but if these were early parts, then that could be something that is added later. For now, we’re left to fill in the gaps with out imagination.
The authenticity of the photos is not clear but with rumors of a smaller iPad launch being around the corner, the pictures may very well turn out to be true. What do you guys think?
