Would You Sell Your Kidney For An iPad?

by on June 2nd, 2011

Unbelievable. The question is would you sell your kidney for an iPad? At least one 17-year-old Chinese boy would, as the young man decided to sell his kidney for 20,000 yuan to fund an iPad purchase.

Not surprisingly, the young man is now not feeling well and regretting the decision.

He had his kidney removed after being contacted by someone on the internet that specializes in this sort of things. When he came home from having his kidney removed his mother freaked out and tried to contact the person who bought his kidney.

At this time, there is an open investigation into the matter.

Is this dedication or stupidity?

If he got the Ipad; stupid.  If he got the Ipad 2; wise beyond his years.  EVERYONE knows you don’t get the first generation of any Apple product.

Open box, no returns. Same for kidney, it already left the parking lot only 10,000 yuan will be returned.

On a serious note. My wife told me about this and I thought it was a joke at first, then I came to learn the sad truth.
Your kidney will never decrease in value, iPad will year after year. I thought Chinese were good business men? haha :P im joking of course, but man I feel sorry for the kid, won over by the hype of a knew toy to realize what the long term would cost him.
