Ad company Chitika has reported that they are seeing the new iPad take about 5% of the the total iPad traffic on the web. They collect the data in 12 hour increments, and you can see in the graphic above that the new iPad is just below the 5% mark, but has gone above the 5% in previous 12 hour increments. You can see live results, here. Chitika suggests that this could mean Apple sold over 1 million units of it’s latest magical device.
The new iPad’s sales are still climbing, and Apple will most likely report it’s numbers early this week. It would seem Apple has another hit on their hands. I know I was one of the many to purchase the latest device, and it is my opinion that the retina display alone, is reason to upgrade. Many are also enjoying the high speeds of 4G/LTE networks in North America. There are many Apple Stores that still have the new iPad in stock, so if you haven’t picked one up yet, get out there!
