This week, a new report indicates that the second-generation iPad is reportedly getting ready for production, which will be in full swing by February 2011.
Three circuit board producers, Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies, are reportedly due to ship the first batch of iPad components in December 2010. Additional manufacturers are said to be joining to accelerate production in February 2011 for a Q1 2011 iPad launch.
It has been rumored that the second-generation iPad will be launching earlier than the first-generation, as the first-generation iPad was hit with various manufacturing and shipping delays, causing Apple to push back the launch date.
Additional rumors for the next iPad point to a faster dual-core processor, more RAM, and front and back facing cameras, similar to those found in the iPhone 4 and iPod touch, that will support FaceTime.
