With the introduction of the new iPad yesterday, Canada was blessed to finally become part of the initial wave of launch countries, as opposed to being part of secondary launches in the past (as with the original iPad and iPad 2).
Pre-orders started yesterday with Apple’s servers taking on a heavy wave of traffic, but in the everyone was able to place an order. 24 hours later, online status still shows all models are still available, with the only change being the 64GB WiFi model showing a change of being ‘Available: by March 19′. Every other iPad still shows ‘Delivers between March 16 – 20‘, as seen below:
As always, Apple has imposed a limit of two iPads per customer. When will your new iPad arrive? Let’s cross our fingers for March 16th. The iPhone 4S delivered on launch day, and usually Apple sets a buffer period to allow them a cushion should there be delays.
Update 1: Now the order page shows ‘March 19th’ for the 16GB LTE model, and some are seeing that same date for all models.
Update 2: The order page now shows ‘Available: by March 19′ for all iPad models now.
