Preordered on May 20th. Got an email today saying they shipped the $45case. The iPad itself will ship on June 7th. What am I supposed to do, stare at the empty case for 5 days?

Doesn't look like that I will be getting my iPad today or tomorrow, I called FedEx today and asked them when should I expect to receive my iPad, they said that they can't tell how long it will take to get through Custom and even it has gone through, they will have to put it on hold until June 2 for delivery because that what the order is specified.

How long does it usually take to get through custom?
Also, would I expect to pay any tax and duty when I get the package? I hope not since I order from Apple Canada even though they ship it from China.

I just find it strange that they have to put the package on hold till Wednesday even if it's available for delivery tomorrow? Anyone else experienced the same delay?

I'm in the exact situation. I live in Richmond Hill. Originally it was a June 1 delivery date but then it moved to June 2, which sucks. My iPad is in Memphis right now.

I hope the change in delivery date was FedEx just trying to be overly conservative. Based on what I've been reading here, I'm fully expecting to recieve the iPad tomorrow or Tuesday. The big unknown is how the Memorial Day holiday will mess things up.
