How to Make Your Own iPad With Printouts!

by Gary on February 6th, 2010

Are you patiently waiting to buy an iPad in Canada once they hit stores at the end of March? Well, if you can’t wait any longer we have a solution for you to get one TODAY! Jess Silverstone from Revolutionary Concepts created a cut-out of the iPad that you can print and glue/tape up yourself!

There are two PNG files that will fit on standard A4 paper, but your printer must be able to do borderless printing to replicate true iPad dimensions. What’s neat is there’s also a cutout of Apple’s new a4 processor so you can feel like a superstar!

Here’s a picture of the final product:

Haha, I think it's kinda cool, if only to get a sense of how big it is and how it feels in the hands (weight not included, unless you can wrap it around a 1.5 book or something, lol).
  • Seriously
This is the dumbest thing I think I've ever seen.
  • LOL. It is a waste of paper and ink for sure. It would be fun to trick friends though from a distance. LOOK AT ME!!!
  • While I'm keen to get an iPad as soon as available - I'm not sure this version would work to test code on. ;)
  • Hehe...I would agree testing code would be hard. I tried the multitouch tonight on it and it works amazingly well!
