My favorite chef and television personality, Gordon Ramsay, is set to open his new restaurant “Gordon Ramsay Steak”. This will be his first restaurant in Las Vegas located inside the “Paris Las Vegas” resort. The location will reportedly have 20 iPads that will be used as wine lists for customers.
Gordon Ramsay Steak will be a fresh, high-energy dining environment that playfully transports guests from Paris to London. Set within the Paris casino, which is whimsically modeled after the “City of Lights,” the restaurant design will celebrate Chef Ramsay and the city of London, where he lives.
Ramsay’s other U.K.-based restaurants currently use the iPad in conjunction with “SmartCellar”, an easy-to-use, touchscreen system developed by Incentient for use with Apple’s iPad.
Using SmartCellar with the iPad gives customers an engaging experience when offering restaurant services. While the system will initially only feature wine lists, new functions are in the pipeline, such as food menus, for a release later this year.
“We congratulate Chef Ramsay on this most recent addition to his incomparable, worldwide restaurant empire,” says Patrick J. Martucci, chairman and CEO, Incentient. “Of course, we’re gratified by his continued satisfaction the SmartCellar system and pleased to see it debut in yet another Gordon Ramsay establishment.”
Ramsay further praised the use of the iPad by saying,
“There’s no better way to enrich our patrons’ visit to our restaurants than by offering the attractive, fully interactive and completely irresistible SmartCellar. Give them one of these iPads and they instantly become more knowledgeable about their selections and more engaged in their entire epicurean experience.”
I guess my next stop is Las Vegas!
