Google Improves Search Experience for the iPad

by on July 29th, 2011

Google has announced today some minor changes coming for searches on the iPad.

We’ve simplified the layout of search results pages and increased the size of page contents like text, buttons and other touch targets to make it faster and easier to browse and interact with search results in portrait or landscape view.

The search button located below the search box provides quick access to specific types of results like Images, Videos, Places, Shopping and more. Just tap to open the search menu and select an option to see results in one category.

There will also be enhancements coming to image search results too. It’s coming in the next few days to your iPad, so stay tuned for this.

    Improves my ass.

The change is crap and a total joke. Yet ANOTHER situation of big idiots thinking they know what is best for us.

Are people on iPads functional idiots?

    Removed cached pages.

    Removed pinch and zoom.

Made the text visible for 90 year old people with no eyeballs.

Removed extra details from the standard google search.

Yet no option to choose desktop vs “tablet”. Forcing us into this garbage.

If you, like a lot of people, want the old interface back, try this:

You might have to clear the cache and try changing and resettjng the search engine option.

Netflix, google, everyone forces us into what their melon headed UI Suits think is right.
