This week Google announced a new interface for Gmail on iPad. Gmail users now have a new “stacked cards” interface for selecting and managing multiple email conversations.
This new interface, which is very similar to the iPad Mail.app interface when held in landscape, has been the most requested feature by Gmail iPad users.
Before the stacked cards update, it was confusing to manage multiple email conversations in Gmail on iPad. The previous toolbars that were used to affect selected conversations and open conversations have now been replaced with the stacked cards view.
Like in the iPad Mail.app, selected email conversations are displayed stacked on each other on the right panel. This makes for easy managing, archiving and deleting.
To check out the new Gmail on iPad, open Safari on iPad and navigate to gmail.com.
