First Microsoft Surface TV Ad Stresses its Magnetic Cover and Kickstand [VIDEO]

Microsoft’s tablet, the Surface is set to hit stores on the 26th of this month, a simultaneous launch with Windows 8. Their first TV ads have launched as part of their massive $1 billion dollar ad campaign to showcase their tablet announced almost 4 months ago.

Apple is set to announce its iPad mini on October 23rd according to reports, which is a move it appears to pre-empt the launch of the Surface and Windows 8, which will undoubtedly be pushed to the backburner since it will have to compete with Apple press three days later.

The first video is very slick! Nice to see a hip fresh marketing campaign coming from Microsoft. Was so good that I had to watch it a second time. I hope that Microsoft gives Apple a run for their money. Competition is only better for us the consumer.

Not too sure about the OS though. Those squares look pretty lame, but the hardware looks sweet.

I really like the surface from what I’ve seen so far, and MS Windows being the leading operating system in the world has what it takes to make a great tablet. I would buy it over the iPad pending the reviews are positive.

Nice commercial but it didn’t show me anything more innovative than a magnetic keyboard, flip out stand and its Metro theme…

Didn’t like these spots at all. Typical ads trying to be hip with the music and dancing, but not really showing what the device can really do. At least highlight a feature or two.
