Update 1: It appears after trying this hack, it won’t allow you to login.
If you’ve been longing for an official Facebook iPad app, your wait will soon be over shortly as a Canadian university student, Marvin Bernal, discovered it and posted screenshots on twitter yesterday.
According to Marvin’s tweet:
If you change the UIDeviceFamily to 2 for iPhone on the Facebook app you get an iPad version!
So, if you know how to do the above (it requires a jailbroken device), you’ll get access to the iPad app. TechCrunch applied Marvin’s instructions and posted some screenshots of the app. It appears to work and function exactly as the iPhone app, but formatted for the iPad. Screenshots below:
If you want to try this out, there are a some great instructions here over at RedmondPie. Let me know how this works for you!
