Are You in Line or Buying iPad 2 in the US Today?

Today is Christmas for prospective iPad 2 owners, as droves of Canadians are on their way to their nearest US Apple Store (or are already in line!). Sales will start at 5pm local time, so I hope you’ve come prepared to wait.

If you’re heading to the US today to buy an iPad 2, stick to this post to coordinate any meetings with your fellow Canadian friends. While you’re here, these posts might offer some helpful information:

How can you do that?
Do you just give the UPS address during checkout at apple.com and then once its at the UPS they call you and you come pay 5$
Or
Do you have to go through a third party company like “Shipitto…” a mail forwarder?

I ordered online as well and shipped it to my mail depot (UPS Store like) in Point Roberts and this afternoon Apple emailed to tell me they were canceling my order because it was being sent to a Mail depot

I am planning to drive to Bellingham tomorrow, do you think the apple stores still have some in stock ? Even if its just the ones without 3G.

I have direct reports that every WalMart, BestBuy, Target, and Apple Store in Washington are sold out.

The Lynnwood store in particular ran through their last 16/32 GB wifi by 12PM on March 12. If you go, you’re taking a gamble, so expect to not get one.

Lynnwood will have more on Tuesday morning, be there real early.
