What happens if your iPad was jail broken? You may not qualify for this program because that would be an unauthorized modification to the unit; many unanswered questions.

BRAND NEW replacement iPad, Replacement meaning “Factory service model” also refurbed, iphone has the same thing but thats overnight prioity shipping for any problem, only 29 bucks free if you go into the apple store and get it replaced, why do you have to pay 100 to repair your defective ipad

Where does it say in the policy that Apple will replace your malfunctioning unit with a BRAND NEW (read unused) iPad? It doesn't say that, it says: “…Apple will replace your iPad for a service fee.” Likely you will get someone else's refurbished unit. This may or may not be great and if you've invested in InvisibleShield you will have to add the cost of replacing that protection to the Apple “service fee” to determine the total cost of replacing your battery unless InvisibleShield's lifetime replacement warranty covers this event. While this Apple policy sounds great at first, think about it, it will cost $100+ just to replace a battery and you may get someone else's abused iPad in the process. i would expect that if it's in the first 12 months (under warranty) they would replace it for free?
