Apple Offers iPad Video Tutorials Online

by on March 29th, 2010

This morning, Apple updated thier website to provide 11 different video tutorials for the iPad.

Tutorials include a focus on some apps such as Photos, iPod, and iBooks and many more. There is also an additional video that includes all of the tutorials combined in one.

The quality is amazing and gives viewers a very detailed look into some of the available apps and functions coming in the iPad. While the majority of the available apps will be available in Canada this late April, the iBooks app may still be US only until later this year.

Check it out!

Let the iPad hoopla begin. It's going to be a fun week leading up to the release. Mr. Ex, are you buying an iPad?

I hadn't heard anything about “later this year” for the iBooks store. I think the app may be there at launch, but what publishers are represented will be based on what deals Apple has been able to strike since the January announcement. But I don't see any reason why the public domain Gutenburg catalogue could be there at launch.

As someone who's getting an iPad from the states this weekend, I'm curious as to whether I'll have iPad apps available on the Canadian iTunes store next week, or if I'll have to wait until the Canadian launch later next month.

Good question. Creating a US iTunes account is very simple, but it would be much easier and organized to have all our iPad apps under one account instead of switching back and forth. I would assume apps would wait until the Canadian launch to appear in iTunes.

I'm not sure. We haven't seen this situation before. The app store didn't exist until the iPhone was released in Canada. Now we have an iTunes store, but we don't “technically” get the iPad for another 3 weeks.

Getting a US iTunes account is possible, but it can be a hassle to manage the apps, I'd likely wait and save myself the headaches.

Oh, well. I'll be happy to have it to play around with even without the AppStore or iBooks for a few weeks. It might even be beneficial- a bit of a cooling off period where I can back off from some impulse buys. Some apps may even drop in price in 3 weeks if they're not selling well!

Yep, it can be a headache with app updates when you have two iTunes
accounts! Switching accounts is time consuming (laziness on my part)! ;)

Once more apps coming into the iPad App Store…we should see a drop in
prices. But there are still a tonne of free apps!

Don't bother…Apple has your wallet. Just buy now and think about it later.
    ;)
