If you didn’t pre-order your new iPad by now, expect to wait a bit longer. Apple released a statement to USA Today that noted the initial pre-orders have sold out. Customers will have to try their luck at Apple retail stores or authorized resellers when the iPad debuts on March 16th.
Here’s what Apple had to say:
“Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased,” Apple said in a statement. “Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”
Apple Canada now shows new iPad orders to be available in 2-3 weeks:
Some in Canada have noted their new iPads have shipped already, while some are stuck in the ‘Preparing for Shipment’ stage. We uncovered Apple’s iPad shipment map for Canada, and those in ‘Zone 1′ are expected to receive their pre-orders on launch day.
