As the US launch of the Apple iPad continues to edge closer, more iPad related reveals are becoming available.
Today, App Advice brings us another treat in the form of revealing essentially what the iPad App Store will look like.
To begin, the new iPad App Store will feature familiar navigation, as the store has the same bottom tab bar layout as the iPhone App Store. Checking out the screenshot below, the iPad App Store will include a “What’s Hot” page and “Featured” page which further have Apple’s CoverFlow feature.
App Advice observes that the app list is currently populated with iPhone apps, but that iPad apps will eventually be seen in the lists once the iPad App Store is completely launched.
To distinguish iPad apps from iPhone/iPod Touch apps, while the process is not entirely known, the iPad App Store will feature a “Top Apps” list. Within this list, users may toggle between iPhone or iPad apps. This toggle, located at the bottom of the page, also works with application categories.
In regards to searching, iPad apps will be distinctly separated from other apps with iPad app search results appearing at the top and iPhone apps appearing at the bottom. When viewing a specific app, the app details page is identical to the iPhone app details page with app information and items such as device compatibility made easily available for viewing.
As great as these shots look, we are still a few days out from the launch which means that any and all of this could change. However, either way, everything is slowly coming together nicely.
