Apple Announces iPad 3 Media Event for March 7th

by on February 28th, 2012

This is the one invite you’ve been waiting for–Apple has announced the iPad 3 media event for next week to take place on March 7th (iMore’s sources were correct), and has sent out media invites, as announced by Jim Dalrymple of The Loop:

Apple on Monday announced an event to show off the company’s next generation iPad. The invitation, sent to me by Apple, says the event will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

The invite image above depicts the message ‘We have something you really have to see. And touch.’ Now, looking at the image–is that a Retina Display we see?

Earlier this morning, CNBC sent out numerous tweets that claimed Apple would announce an LTE-enabled iPad 3 in New York City, but Jim Dalrymple quickly countered those claims.

March 7th. 10AM PST. Mark your calendar.

MY GUESS IS THAT THE IPAD 3 WILL RELEASE IN CANADA ON MARCH 23RD OR 30TH. WHAT DO U GUYS THINK?

As according to the picture of the iPad above in the blog, I noticed that there is no iPad. The iPad in the picture is using an Apple standard background, so I checked it out myself. I figured out, in order for the dots in the background to land exactly like how they are in the picture, the iPad had to be in landscape, and have 5 apps in the dock, with the Calendar in the exact middle. Notice there is no Home Button? It should be directly underneath the Calendar app!! Unless the iPad is upside-down. We do know that Apple like hinting at stuff in some of their pictures though.

I think this is a hint at an iPad without a Home Button!
