2011 is quickly shaping up to be the year of the tablet. With the Motorola Xoom, HTC Flyer, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Blackberry Playbook, HP TouchPad, and the upcoming iPad 2, there are a lot of choices when it comes to tablet computing!
With so many available devices, a report by IDC Canada detailed that there would be almost 1.5 million tablets sold by the end of 2011 in Canada.
Today, a new report, commissioned by Robert Half Technology, details that 40% of Canadian companies will increase their use of tablet computing in the next 24 months. The report surveyed over 270 CIOs who have over 100 employees. The main question was, “To what extent, if any, do you think your company’s use of ‘tablet’ computers will increase or decrease in the next two years?”
Check out the results below:
- Increase: 40%
- Decrease: 6%
- No change: 49%
- Don’t know/not applicable/no answer: 5%
So it seems that businesses are slowly beginning to move into tablet computing. The Canadian Government is even using iPads for their daily tasks!
