iOS 5 iPad Update Released By Apple

by on October 12th, 2011

This morning at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT, Apple finally released its much anticipated iOS 5 update. iPad users looking to update can plug into iTunes and update.

Right now Apple’s servers are being hammered with traffic, so many people are running into ‘error 3200′ messages. My advice is to try once or twice and if that doesn’t work, hold off. You might end up with a device stuck in a restore date because of this.

Let us know how you enjoy iOS 5! iMessage, WiFi Sync, AirPlay Mirroring, and more. Exciting times.

It took 6 hours to backup my 3GS to iCloud but it isn’t working for my iPad. Time estimated anywhere from 33-44 hours. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated

Upgraded my Ipad 2 last night and my sister upgraded 2 Iphone 4′s with no issues.

Still on the fence if I should get an iPad 1, iPad 2 or wait for iPad 3.

How are you guys doing with ios5 on your iPad first gens? Is it bogging it down or running smoothly?

Gary what do you think? Should I wait for the 3? I’m only going to use the iPad for surfing. I’m just not too fond of the screen. The iPhone looks so much better.

iPad 2. It’s faster, thinner, and runs iOS 5 better. Plus, you get a cool Smart Cover! it’s the best.

Anyone know if this fixed the Wi-Fi issue where it will loose connection coming out of sleep?  The only way to get the connection back is to turn off and turn back on WiFi.
