Front Facing Camera on iPad 2

by on January 20th, 2011

With the Apple iPad 2 looming closer to launch, the release of the iOS 4.3 Beta 2 in the developer’s release is providing us with a bit more information as to what we should expect.

Comparing the pictures of the home screen from the current iOS 4.2 to the 4.3 Beta, there are several tweaks. The addition of a FaceTime App icon, as well as a PhotoBooth icon provides visual evidence confirming the integration of a forward-facing camera on the new device. With the new applications, iPad users will be able to make video conferences as well as filters to photos instantaneously similar to that of the application from Mac OSX. Not only so, there is an icon for a Camera application which may possibly be meant for a rear-facing camera.

The new Apple iPad is expected to be released in Q1 of 2011

I am so excited for the next generation iPad 2, a higher res screen would go pretty well with a front camera . . .

I just cant wait to get my hands on one of these things for use with iMovie . . . It’s an awesome iOS app except its hard to keep my fingers on the controls.
