Apple Releases iOS 5.0.1; Brings Multitasking Gestures to the iPad

Today Apple publicly released iOS 5.0.1, and along with this update comes multitasking gestures to the original iPad. iOS 5.0.1 will also address battery life issues that have plagued some users. It also addresses the iPad 2 SmartCover passcode bug as well.

iOS 5.0.1 is a ‘delta update’, meaning only what has changed will be required to download instead of the entire iOS. The update can be installed over the air as well. How to do so?

On your iPad, navigate to: Settings > General > Software Update and tap on Download. You will be required to connect to WiFi and a power source.
