Earlier we noted Rogers would support the new iPad Personal Hotspot tethering feature, and now we have received confirmation from Bell. We spoke with Bell PR over the phone and they clarified the following:
- New iPads will arrive with a Bell LTE microSIM
- Existing 3G data plan users can upgrade to LTE for no extra charge; just call in and transfer your account to the new LTE microSIM
- Personal Hotspot supported, as with all tablet data plans
So there you have it. From what it looks like, all iPad LTE data plans from the ‘Big 3′ will most likely include easy upgrades to LTE, and support tethering. We will most likely hear from Telus on the day of the new iPad launch.
Did you order an LTE model iPad and plan to use it on Bell?
