Fair Labor Association: Work Conditions At Foxconn’s iPad Plant Are Far Superior Than Other Factories

Following reports of worker suicides and a plant explosion, Fair Labor Association is conducting a study of the working conditions of Apple’s top eight suppliers in China, including Foxconn Technology Group. During its ongoing audit of Foxconn’s iPad production plant, FLA’s president Auret van Heerden told Reuters (via 9to5Mac) that working conditions at Foxconn’s iPad plant are “far better” than those at the garment factories or other facilities elsewhere in the country.
