Since there are now a lot more Canadians with iPads, as of this weekend, I thought it would be a good idea to go over jailbreaking, and why it might be for you. We may have talked about this already, but I’m sure there are quite a few new visitors to the site, now that the iPad is finally available in Canada.
Let’s start fresh. What is jailbreaking? Jailbreaking … Read More
With the iPad finally jailbroken, we are seeing some great new tweaks show up in Cydia. More and more of our favourite jailbreak apps, from the iPhone, are being ported to the iPad.
One great new tweak, for iPad only, is FullForce. Basically, this adds an extra setting to the Settings app, allowing you to display iPhones apps installed on your iPad, at full screen resolution, without the pixelization. Before the … Read More

Yesterday we reported that a new jailbreak tool, by iPhone Dev Team member comex, might be released this Friday, but that is not the case. The iPad has been released in the US for less than a month, but we are already seeing so many uses for this awesome device. It is truely becoming a new level of mobile computing.

They also have some licsensed skins from big names like Marvel and National Geographic.
Joining their fleet, is the iPad. Gelaskins … Read More
One of the limitations of having the WiFi only model of the iPad, is the possibility that there will not be a hotspot everywhere you go, resulting in times where you have no connectivity at all. So, what happens if you and and your friends are arguing about a specific detail of whatever topic you’re on? Normally, you might jump on Wikipedia to look it up, but with no internet … Read More

This, of course, means they are having trouble getting ready for the international release. Sales have been higher than they expected, with over half a million units out the door already.
I’m sure some of these sales were not to US citizens. I was one … Read More
A few months ago, we saw a Windows 95 emulator released for the iPhone 3GS, in Cydia. It was a cool idea, but ultimately didn’t work very well, due to lack of power on the iPhone 3GS. It sometimes took 20 minutes to boot up, and even if it did boot up, it was barely useable.
The same folks who released that version, now have an iPad version up … Read More
If you’re not familiar with George Hotz (aka: geohot), you should be! He was the original guy who figured out how to unlock the iPhone. At that time it was a hardware unlock, and geohot had people around the world cracking open their iPhones, so that they could use them on their local carrier.
So, Apple releases the iPad, less than a week ago, and geohot is … Read More
