Today, Apple modified the App Store in order to make browsing apps a much more intuitive and easier task. The App Store was specifically modified to ease the browsing of the iPhone and iPad apps. When users enter the updated App Store, they are presented with a new split button at the top of the page.
The button simply indicates the difference between iPhone and iPad apps and clicking one will deliver the user to that specific store.
The one thing to note is that if users search for non-universal apps, the App Store will still list the specific application(s) under an “iPhone OS”. However, the apps will still work with the iPad.
