ZooGue Smart iPad Case

by on June 28th, 2010

I purchased an iPad case from Apple when I originally ordered my iPad. I have since been looking for another case that serves a couple of purposes – a case that is simple and fits in my purse, will protect the iPad, allows for viewing at multiple angles and can easily be removed from the case when I want to play my pinball games.

The ZooGue Smart iPad Case may be the solution I’ve been looking for. Here are some of the highlights of this case:

  • is made from authentic leather
  • has a Velcro design which provides ultimate durability and it doubles as a stand anywhere you place the case
  • it’s less than an inch thick with the iPad inside
  • all buttons and ports are accessible
  • has adjustable Velcro and elastic straps that allows you to attach your iPad to the headrest in your car  (for backseat video viewing)
  • the dimensions of the case are 9 ¾” (W) x 7 ¾” (H) x 15/16″ (D)
  • $1.00 from every case is donated to The Make a Wish Foundation

ZooGue  guarantees 100% satisfaction or your money back and it ships to Canada for $5.00.

You can view a brief video demonstration and purchase the ZooGue Smart iPad case on their website here for $49.99.

Have you tried out any iPad cases worth noting? If so please let us know. It would be awesome to see what other innovative iPad cases are available.

I also got the official Apple iPad case. I like it, but I just didn't get the feeling that it'll keep the iPad safe if it was tossed in with a laptop in a laptop bag. I went to the Apple store yesterday looking for a case that fit the iPad *with* the Apple iPad case on (as we all know, it takes a little work to take on/off!). They didn't have a wide selection.
In the end, I ended up at Best Buy and bought an InCase 13″ Macbook slipcase. It's a little big, but as I kept the Styrofoam insert that came with the case, the iPad with Apple case ended up fitting nicely … with an added bit of protection!

I didn't like the apple case because it seems almost designed to collect smudges and dust. I ordered a DODOCase and it's really amazing. It resembles a Moleskin cover for the case, and it's very cool. takes forever to get one delivered to canada (wait time 6 weeks) but it's worth it once you get it.

I still like the Apple case. It does collect some dust, but it can be easily cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
