Review:

The SGP Diary S Leather case for New iPad is available in two color options i.e black and dark brown. I got mine in dark brown which came in a traditional SGP packaging. The box includes 1 x SGP Diary S case. There are no screen protectors or any accessories included with the case. Out of the box, the Diary S case feels elegant and expensive. One can immediately tell it’s a high-end product just be looking at it. The case sports a silky smooth leather texture on the exterior. The genuine leather smells great too. The case also has an engraved Spigen logo on either side.

The case features a non-slip rubbery inner fabric, which enables the iPad to be positioned at both comfortable viewing and typing angles. What keeps the iPad in place is a polycarbonate frame that is attached to the leather. The frame serves well to hold the iPad securely in place making sure there is no way the iPad can fall out of the case.

The camera opening on the leather case as well as the other cut-outs on polycarbonate frame are perfectly aligned. The top microphone, sleep/wake button and headphone jack are all easily accessible. The case also leaves the charger port and part of the speaker grill while still keeping it protected. One downside to this case is that it does not have a built-in sleep/wake support.

What sets the Diary S apart from similar portfolio-style cases is that on its back side, there is a break in the middle that allows it to bend slightly and position the iPad at the perfect viewing angle. This way, a simplistic luxury case also works as a portable iPad stand that can easily be adjusted to position the device at any desirable viewing or typing angle. The non-slip rubbery inner fabric prevents the iPad from slipping.

Conclusion:

The Spigen SGP Diary S case is not only aesthetically pleasing but also serves well to protect the iPad from bumps and scratches in addition to letting you keep a convenient stand with you at all times. So if you’re in the market for a luxury, professional looking iPad case which offers functionality as well as protection, this might be a very good choice.
