Roadster Folio Case for iPad

by on August 21st, 2010

Apple makes a great iPad case, but the neoprene material is rather thin and the cover has the tendency to get dirty very quickly. As an alternative, the Roadster Folio case from Logiix is a very similar designed case to the official Apple iPad case.

The Roadster Folio case is a 3-in-1 carbon fiber designed case that converts into a vertical stand to display the iPad, can fold the top cover back to allow for easy hand held use and can also flip the top cover back to provide a nice tilted angle for easy typing.

When the top cover of the case is closed, the case covers the iPad completely. However, the case does leave access to the dock connector, speaker, headphone jack, sleep/wake button, and volume rocker/orientation lock.

Inside, the case features a soft microfiber material to ensure that the back of the iPad does not get scratched during daily use. The Roadster Folio further features solid shock protection against any kind of drop, as the case is thick and covers the iPad completely. Also, inside of the top cover features a small slit to store objects and five business card slots.

Overall, the case provides great scratch and damage protection from external variables and is a very stylish case to use with an iPad. The versatile 3-in-1 design further allows users to have a great typing surface or just use the iPad as a great vertical display.

“Solid shock protection” but no corner protection? Hm…

Exposed corners = deal breaker for me. If you drop you precious device, a corner is likey to hit the ground, and they get damaged very easily.

    …believe me.

Sounds like a great case, but I still appreciate the thinness of the official Apple iPad case. I mean, you've got this marvelously thin device, and you're gonna stick it into some thick case and ruin a big selling point of the iPad?
