Review: BudgetGadgets Soft Skin Sleeve Bag for iPad

by on June 30th, 2010

Today I have a new case from my new source of low priced accessories. It is a Soft Skin Sleeve Bag from BudgetGadgets and it combines a leather/soft skin exterior with a very soft interior material.

Soft Skin Sleeve Bag from BudgetGadgets

The Soft Skin Sleeve Bag from BudgetGadgets is a very thin leather/soft skin pouch-type bag with fine white stitching along the outside edges. Once you put your iPad inside, your device is completely covered by the bag on all sides. This does mean that in order to get to your iPad, you must take the device out of the bag entirely before being able to use it.

The bag features a leather velcro strap to enclose your iPad inside and ensure it does not fall out. To retrieve the iPad, simply peel back the velcro and pull out the iPad. The interior of the bag is made from some type of extremely soft material that keeps the iPad snug and ensures that no scratches will appear on the device.

The only part of the case that I do not like is the color. While BudgetGadgets has various iPad cases in many colors, this particular sleeve only comes in this baby blue. However, if you’re a fan, then all the power to you!

Overall, the Soft Skin Sleeve Bag provides a nice blend of form and function which makes this case a good protection solution for your iPad. The leather velcro strap is hidden away and the inside of the sleeve has a very soft material to prevent scratches.

BudgetGadgets works on a wholesale system, but you can still buy items individually. I will list the prices below:

  • 1+ Cases: $11.94 each
  • 3+ Cases: $10.63 each
  • 5+ Cases: $10.27 each
  • 10+ Cases: $9.83 each
  • Available colors: Baby Blue

Also, if you use coupon code “MM5OFF26” during checkout, you get 5% off your purchases across the site. The site also offers Free Shipping worldwide.

I just recieved my ipad after winning it on epicdraw.com and I must admit I feel like a bag would be appropriate since they get quite dusty and dirty really easily.

I've got an anti-glare screen cover from powersupport USA. It does a nice job of making the iPad more usable outdoors, in addition to masking fingerprints that typically plague the screen. Beyond that, its housed in the apple iPad case, which I'm desperate to find an alternative for.

BestSkin Ever skins has been on my iPhone 3g, 3GS, and iPad now. Even on my MacBook Pro. Love to get a protective sleeve bag. :)
