Review: BudgetGadgets Leather Case Cover for iPad

by on July 7th, 2010

If you’re looking for an alternative iPad case to the official Apple Case, check out the new leather case cover from BudgetGadgets.

Leather Case Cover from BudgetGadgets

The Leather Case Cover from BudgetGadgets mimics the official Apple case for iPad. The cover is made entirely out of leather featuring fine black stitching along the outside edges. Just like with the Apple Case, the iPad slides in from one side and once inside, the iPad is covered on all edges.

Since the display is exposed in the case, users need not remove their iPad to use the device. However, the front flap is used to cover the display when moving around with the case. Simply open the strap and go. The front leather flap is also secured with a strap that buckles together on the rear of the case.

The rear of the case also features another strap that acts as a kick-stand for the iPad for use when watching videos, photos, or just browsing the web. On the outside, the case features cut-outs for the dock connector, speaker, sleep/wake button, headphone jack, microphone, and home button.

The case is very similar to the official Apple case for the iPad but provides an all leather exterior and leather strap to secure the front opening, the latter of which is a nice feature. While the leather is also a nice touch, once the iPad is inside the case, it just does not feel as secure as I would want it to be.

BudgetGadgets works on a wholesale system, but you can still buy items individually. I will list the prices below:

  • 1+ Cases: $12.95 each
  • 3+ Cases: $11.59 each
  • 5+ Cases: $11.21 each
  • 10+ Cases: $10.74 each
  • Available colors: Black

Also, if you use coupon code “MM5OFF26” during checkout, you get 5% off your purchases across the site. The site also offers Free Shipping worldwide.

Except your product is 5x the cost. I could see you posting a small advertisement if the prices were similar, however sir, with all due respect, I don't believe this is appropriate. Nice cases though.

If I had a case that I wanted to advertise, I send one to Gary for review. Just my opinion.

    Hello :) ,

Thanks for your reply :) .

Well, the topic and the body of the article is closely connected with iPad leather cases. And this is what my products are :) . I guess my comment is more an informative post than an ad. But yes, it contains promo message.

Well, mine are “genuine leather cases” :) . Sure they cost 5 times the one described here, but this is still bargain for genuine bovine leather :) .

    Thank you! :) ) I am glad you like them :) .

I'll be happy to send one for a review :) . Just need a street address.

I'll write to Mike (contact page).

    Thanks again :) ,

    Regards,

    Tom
