MobileMe Calendar App Out Of Beta For iOS4

by on October 14th, 2010

Apple’s web calendar application on MobileMe has finally upgraded out of its beta status!

For our MobileMe users, the new calendar app will allow for better sync and push on iOS4 over the iPad, iPhone, and the iPod Touch. The upgrade allows for better integration of not only a web version of the calendar but with the stock calendar application that the devices have already pre-installed.

This new version allows users to share what they have on their calendars with other MobileMe users of their choice. Members of the group will also receive email notifications whenever changes take place so that everyone will be kept up-to-date. Another key feature is the ability to share a read-only calendar. This read-only feature is great for organizing schedules as well as creating group timetables/itineraries.

Invitations to events on a users calendar can be sent to users without the application as well via email. One of the great ways that can keep the MobileMe user organized and housed under one app.

Is a new calendar application in MobileMe enough to make some of those who don’t have it yet jump aboard?

What’s a key feature that’s worth the MobileMe price tag?

Is there any way to turn off the mobile option on ipads? I prefer the old way.

Go to this link here: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/setup/ipad.html (It’s nice and has graphics, very easy to understand). It will show you how to setup your iPad with select functions on MobileMe or to even completely turn it off.
