SquareTrade has posted a video that demonstrates a drop test of the iPad 2 Smart Cover.

The test features two iPad 2 devices, one with a Smart Cover and one without. The test is conducted from waist height above concrete.

If you’ve ever been curious about how strong the Smart Cover is, this is the video to watch.

In a real life environment, the Smart cover isn’t going to help at all. Hell, i could probably wrap it with some styrofoam and it would probably do better.

Styrofoam…really? What an awful comparison…styrofoam is the world standard for protecting items being shipped…of course it would do better! LOL
