by on December 30th, 2011

The ION iCade Arcade Cabinet is on sale for $49.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond in Canada. Currently, it’s out of stock online but that could change so keep an eye out. Your best bet is to call your local store to inquire about stock. This is the cheapest price we’ve seen for the iCade in Canada.

The iCade uses 2 AA batteries and connects to your iPad via Bluetooth, to enable you to play over 100 Atari classics such as Asteroids or Centipede. The retro joystick and buttons will bring back those feelings of nostalgia. Atari has their own retro offering, the Arcade-Duo.

Let us know if you find one in stock!

Just picked one up at the Belleville, Ontario store! Appeared to be the last one though…

  • Lucky!

  • Had a long talk with the manager at the Surrey location who went out of his way to find one for me, but to no avail. He looked through all the locations, calling Kamloops who had 3. I was planning to go there next week and he was going to have them hold one for me.

No luck. All were being shipped for “online orders” 🙁

Thankfully there is a Future Shop right around the corner, so I figured I’d go over and see if they had one, which they did. It was on sale for $69 and I simply mentioned the BBB situation and they happily matched the price, no questions asked, plus the $2 difference 🙂

This s a very YMMV situation.

  • Oh, and if they need to check stock, you may be SOL.

Gladly they didn’t when I went in.

Although, I REALLY don’t know if I should have spent the bloody money on it. Ugh.
