Folks at Network World (via The Verge) have recently got their hands on portions of a deposition Apple designer Jony Ive gave at Samsung’s request last year. The documents contained some grainy but revealing photos of “a tablet computer prototype” known as the ’035 mockup or prototype’, which Jony Ive dates to early-2000′s period. Jony Ive also revealed that that Apple was working on tablet prototypes sometime between 2002 and 2004.
Microsoft demonstrated the new “SmartGlass”application at this year’s E3 event in June, an app that links Xbox 360 gaming console to iOS and other mobile platforms, allowing users to remotely control an Xbox 360 connected TV display from touchscreen enabled devices. I’ll admit that I’m somewhat addicted to Kickstarter. Since hearing about the site last year I’ve spent more than I probably should have on an assorted collection of gizmos and gadgets that I’ve discovered while browsing the site.

During the last week of June we noted Future Shop and Best Buy had dropped the price of all 3rd generation iPad models by $19.01.
