MTS Launches iPad Data Plans

MTS, a mobile carrier in Manitoba, has launched new iPad-specific data plans. The new offers are identical to the iPad data plans launched by Bell and Rogers.

For $15/month, users receive up to 250MB of data. For $35/month, users receive up to 5GB of data. Both plans are prepaid. Either plan further includes free unlimited access to all 160 MTS WiFi hotspots.

Statistics from a web analytics company, New Applications, reveals that people love to browse the web from their iPad!

Specifically, the data shows that the iPad has grabbed just over 1% of the global web browser market.

As seen in the chart, the statistic has been rising since the original iPad release in March 2010.
