In other news this morning that is not Apple delaying Canadian product launches, Rogers has hinted at the availability of iPad-specific data plans. The wireless carrier has indicated that they have full intentions of making available data plans that will work for the iPad for its May 2010 release.
While Rogers did not specifically indicate what the data plans will cost or how much data will be … Read More
With the popularity of the iPad in the US, it seems Apple has been completely overwhelmed, and are already running out of stock in the US. This, of course, means they are having trouble getting ready for the international release. Sales have been higher than they expected, with over half a million units out the door already.
I’m sure some of these sales were not to US citizens. I was one … Read More
This morning, Apple released a statement indicating that it is pushing back the international launch of the iPad to late May 2010. The launch was most likely going to be April 24, 2010 but those dreams have now been crushed.
Apple cites strong US demand as being the reason for the delay, as the company has had difficulty keeping enough supply for US orders. The release further cited … Read More
I’ve had my iPad for over a week now, but I haven’t written my review just yet. I want to use the iPad a bit longer and get the opinions of others to shape what I want to say. In the meantime, I managed to acquire the Apple iPad Case and Dock (thanks to my brother who picked it up for me in Hawaii of all places!). Here are my … Read More

We heard from sources that April 24th is the date for the iPad’s crash landing in … Read More
One of the major selling points of the iPad is the ability to read books, just like the Amazon Kindle. The advantage the iPad has over the Kindle is that it has a beautiful screen that displays color, versus electronic ink only. Why is this important? When it comes to children’s books, the iPad wins hands down over the Kindle.

The iPad is capable of many things: email, surfing the web, reading books, playing games…oh, and engagements too. Yep, you knew this was coming. A TechCrunch reader named Zach used his iPad to add some ‘mad game’ to his relationship skills and proposed to his girlfriend–who said yes:
I’m a huge fan of your blog and read it every day, and I thought you might be interested in this. This … Read More
A few months ago, we saw a Windows 95 emulator released for the iPhone 3GS, in Cydia. It was a cool idea, but ultimately didn’t work very well, due to lack of power on the iPhone 3GS. It sometimes took 20 minutes to boot up, and even if it did boot up, it was barely useable.
The same folks who released that version, now have an iPad version up … Read More
I got my iPad early last week and I’ve been putting this puppy to the test. It’s a gorgeous device and I’ll have my review up shortly. In the meantime, if you just picked up an iPad from the USA (hopefully Canada will get the iPad on April 24th), here are some of my favourite apps so far (in no particular order) you should download:
